Fropper.com

Fropper

Background

Fropper.com is India’s oldest, fast growing and leading social media/ networking site with over 3.5 million members. The website extends a variety of service offerings including, but not limited to, social networking, music, videos, blogs and more.
The existing site was difficult to maintain and was the by-product of different software development teams over the years that have long since turned-over and left the company. Fropper.com wanted to make their website more user-oriented, to retain current memberships and to increase new members.

The Challenge / Opportunity

Fropper.com was seeking a strategic website revamp to help accomplish the following organization goals:

1. Increase engagement time with existing and new members for the coming year.
2. Introduce and successfully deliver music as a key distinctive
3. offering for increasing engagement time.
4. Identifying and promoting unique selling features of Fropper.com
5. Redesign to increase simplicity and aid flexibility for usage. (Including a web 2.0 compliant design).

Enable new Fropper users to quickly understand “what to do” as soon as they register.

Our Thinking and Approach

Cohezia’s creative team of solution architects, graphics artists, seasoned writers, experienced programmers and expert information architects worked collaboratively with Fropper.com throughout the project. We did this through:

  • Focus group discussions, Desk Based Research, and Stakeholder interviews.
  • Identification of Need Gaps and product enhancements for Fropper.com’s social networking and music offerings.
  • Creation of Image Map for the two meshed up sites – Fropper.com that leverages music.

Creative and Usability Design

This included:

  • Revamping of high level Architecture strategy and identification of User Interaction Points.
  • High level Content Chunking and Site Map.
  • Information Architecture artifacts in MS Visio/PowerPoint and UCD in Adobe PhotoShop and style guides.
  • Graphic user interface design that reflects business strategy.
